You may apply for Canadian Citizenship if you meet the following requirements:
Are 18 years of age or older (for children under 18: parent or legal guardian must do it and one parent must be a citizen or is applying at the same time)
Are permanent resident of Canada
Meet the residence requirements: have been physically present in Canada for at least four(1460 days) of the six years immediately before the date of your application, except children under 18.
Must meet income tax obligations in the past 4 years
If between the age of 14-64 years old: CLB 4 in speaking and listening or academic documentation proving secondary or past secondary school was in English or French
Understand the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of citizenship (adults over the age of 65 are exempt).
Those individuals that have committed a crime in or outside Canada may not be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship for a period of time.
